Meteo 3R 2.2.3

Meteo 3R brings together the official meteorological information from the north-west of Italy into a single application.

It allows users to access forecasts, observed data, and alert messages in Piedmont, Aosta Valley, and Liguria.

The forecasts are developed and validated by expert meteorologists rather than automatic algorithms, ensuring accuracy up to the third day before a decrease in reliability.

The data is in real-time, derived from the broadest public network of meteorological stations that are regularly calibrated and maintained. From temperature to rainfall quantities, wind speed to humidity, the application provides essential weather parameters.

Furthermore, users can track precipitation movements effectively through the radar feature as they occur.

The alert messages are official notices issued for potential natural risks arising from possible meteorological conditions. Individuals are urged to exercise extreme caution during potentially hazardous situations and follow self-protection measures recommended by Civil Protection.

Meteo 3R is a collaborative effort of the three regions - Piedmont, Aosta Valley, and Liguria - driven by the goal of observing, predicting, and warning.

The application was developed by Arpa Piemonte in partnership with the Functional Center of Valle d'Aosta Region, Functional Center of Arpa Liguria, and Functional Center of Arpa Piemonte within the RISK-COM project's WP4 "Awareness and Resilience" section and the RISK-ACT project's WP3 - Establishment of a network of cross-border pilot sites under the Integrated Thematic Plan RISK.
